I agree.

The fact of the matter is that, to the best of my knowledge, Dave Winer is the “owner” of this here discussion list he set up in 1999.

It is therefore up to him to decide on issues of hosting; as far as I remember, the forum was completely gone for a significant period a couple of years ago when Userland management changed, and he “brought it back” somehow.

As for the rest of us, as far as I can tell we are all adults and we therefore are individually responsible for where we choose to “hang out” :-)
