I agree with you, and can’t see where I said otherwise.

I’m just the messenger. :) There are always lots more people lurking around (reading) forums than posting. My point was simply that it would be good to find ways to get more folks to play a more active participatory role.

I agree.

The thrust of my post was to try and get folks to consider moving to something other than Yahoo Groups. Somewhere where you would be in total control of your destiny and site content and could offer a more feature rich and dare I say more usable home that would be even more valuable to the group.
