Hi, I am pleased to let you know that Surfulater V1.93, B0.0 was released last week. I couldn’t access Outlines.com for the latter part of the week, so I could’nt post earlier. Unfortunately this seems to be a reasonably frequent problem.
This release includes some much requested new features including the ability to highlight important text fragments, and the ability to create new articles from content in other Windows Applications via. a Clipboard Hotkey. The latter opens Surfulater up to a range of new uses and users.
For a complete list of new features and changes see the release notes in the Help or on our support forum http://www.softasitgets.com/forums/showthread.php?t=676
For a more a more detailed writeup on this release see the blog post: “Surfulater V1.93, B0.0 released” at http://blog.surfulater.com/wordpress/?p=50 Download the new release from http://www.surfulater.com Our FAQ page includes information on starting a new trial period, should you need to do that.
I have had a terrific response to my blog article “Surfulater, Under the Hood and Down the Road” http://blog.surfulater.com/wordpress/?p=49 from e-mails, comments on the blog and in other Forums. It was even selected in the “Carnival of Marketing” blog series in late November.
I wrote this at the request of Alexander Deliyannis ( see http://www.outliners.com/discuss/msgReader$4612?mode=day ) and I have been a somewhat surprised that no comments were posted here.
Surfulater does much more than just capture content from the Web, but I assume that message isn’t getting across here.
As a complete outsider and newcomer looking in, I am I often surprised at the programs that get talked about here. Many seem crude, unsupported, old and buggy, yet time and effort is spent pouring over them, again and again and again.
I’m sure this sounds like sour grapes, which to an extent of course it is. That said you might do better to put some effort into focusing on newer programs with fresh ideas, that are actively being developed, are well supported and come from companies who care about what they are doing and what their customers want. My 2C.
