Daly,
I was not trying comment on the effectiveness of the program or its functionality. I assume these are both good, from my reading here.
I was only commenting on its user interface which I feel is very dated and somewhat clumsy. A lot like the IH Web site.
First impressions are big thing when evaluating any product. Serious users will move beyond this if they can see potential in the underlying product, but most will just move on.
These were my first impressions. People expect and appreciate more modern interfaces and rightly so.
I’ve been writing software for nearly 20 years and have been running my software business for around 15. There aren’t many small software companies who have survived this long. A good part of my success and longevity comes from listening to my users and I have always welcomed all feedback with open arms, being good bad or otherwise.
If you can’t keep up with what the industry is doing and with what your potential customers and users expect, then you will have a very difficult time maintaining a profitable business. Worst case is you close the doors and leave your customers in no mans land.
