Yesterday I found this free, webbased outliner through the wikipedia entry on outliners.
In terms of user-friendliness and “neatness”, it’s one of the best I’ve seen. It has a kind of permanent hoist functionality (like BrainStorm) and you have a kind of “outline map” og navigation bar at your disposal all the time.
It’s possible to use keyboard shortcuts for most actions. They are listed on the right all the time.
It’s possible to make the outlines public, to share it with others.
It can export to HTML, both in a dynamic form where the levels can be expanded/collapsed, and to OPML, and to ADO.NET (whatever that is).
However, I don’t know if it is still being developed. It’s an alpha, and the website says that it hasn’t been updated since 2004.
Has anybody else tried this service?
Regards,
Peter.
[At last outliners.com is up and running again, so I can write about it here! I almost started to get withdrawal symptoms from outliners.com.]
