I have the impression that most software we’ve been discussing here has been conceived as the Ultimate Writing or Information Management Tool by their developers. But diversity rules (thankfully) and our needs are very different.
For example, Daly (I think) has posted that he likes InfoHandler’s categorising information items when initially collected, while others prefer Zoot’s fluid Collect Now - Classify Later approach.
Having a limited programming background myself, I tend to prefer supporting the development of my favourite tools (Brainstorm, FreeMind) as well as this here discussion which has greatly expanded my concepts of how one can actually go about writing.
