In other words you get the ability to have metadata, much as ADM has, but in addition Zoot can manage it for you based on dates, times, and other rules.
If you don’t mind me commenting here, what I think makes Zoot unique is that you can restructure a database at any time. That is, after you’ve collected a hundred notes in a database, you can then create folders with rules that will add structure (or restructure) the information. In a tree-based program, you would need to manually move each piece of data to a new node. In a keyword-based program, you’d need to edit the keywords. I think this is the flexibility that Zoot offers that really sets it apart. For me, it means I don’t have to think too much about how to categorize a particular piece of information at the time I capture it.
