EssentialPim is having a Halloween special and giving away free licenses for their PIM (in desktop and portable editions) if you go there today only.

EssentialPim Pro is a typical PIM with calendar, hierarchical to-do lists, address book, tree outliner, etc. I think it is a little better than most and was trying it out when I got an email with the Halloween giveaway announcement. Anyone have an opinion about a better PIM?

Thanks for the tip, Gary. I wonder how they make money. Must be on volume ;)

Rather reluctantly, I ended up using Outlook; though it's a rather bloated program, I find its versatility as a platform unmatched, as there's a multitude of plug-ins to complement it. I've written about my experience here:

EPIM may be free today, and the site talks about registering it with your name.
All that sounds good -- but can someone tell me where the site is set up to accept your information for a free registration?
It seems to me that apart from announcing the Pumpkin Day sale the site is just as it would be if there was no sale. In other words, there seems to be no place to get the free registration.
