Daly,
Yes, I’m refering to the title. There is a conceptual difference between outliners that work with the need for titles for each item, and outliners that don’t use titles for the items. Somehow, I find the need for titles too “computeristic”, and contrary to the nature of notes. Here, I think that it is a liberation to work with BrainStorm, and ADM, which I now think looks very promising as an outliner (though rather expensive, and no student discount :-( ), as I can just type in the text as it comes to my head, without having to think about a title. Zoot is somewhere in the middle, as it will just make the title from the first words of the text, but it’s not really good, as I don’t see the text in context, only in the detached item window. Of course it has its advantages to have titles for the items, and here indeed i think that the “rename” feature of Zoot is a good idea. But for most textual work I would indeed like to be without titles at all.
The thing is, I guess, that notes are already so short, that also giving a title seems rather unnessesary.
Peter.
