Yes. And the failure of PC-Outline for Windows (in many ways like GV)to work properly, and the problems of Maxthink/WIN have also been major disappointments.

I have GV running in a window under XP with few problems. Running it in full-screen mode, however, gives a pretty awful display, though.
As for Brainstorm, I like it a lot, too, but find myself still more comfortable using GV.
