Agreed!
But I have to note an exception to your statement that information is best categorized when first captured. I can see that this can be true some of the time, but I have found the opposite to be true as well. That is, sometimes (even frequently) I don’t know how I want to use information at the time of capture. Burying it in a layer of categorization may mean I forget about it, and will miss its relevance to another topic later on. This is one reason I like Zoot so much. It is the best program I know of for sifting all my information for related nuggets. With Zoot, I can get the best of both worlds… categorizing the information as captured to the best of my thinking at the time of capture, but knowing I can easily dig it out later no matter where I’ve stored it.
