You should be able to drag ‘n drop files, folders, applications, etc. into the top window of IH to the right of the groups, and IH will instantly make the appropriate links.
In fact, this last weekend I set IH up as my dashboard, much preferring it to Idea because IH allows me to do a lot more than ID—plus it doesn’t have those annoying horizontal stripes across the screen.
I had a number of items in Zoot. I selected each one and dragged it into IH, and IH opened a new infoitem and use the first line of what I was dragging to make a copy.
As I said in an earlier post, IH makes use a certain discipline if you wish to properly categorize your material. IIt pays off.
I find it very satisfying to use the tree view, which shows each group and category in outline form, and the document names to which each category has been added. Part of the satisfaction comes in realizing just how rich my information store is.
