I think you are right on all counts. The only thing I would add is this: if there were a genuine Windows version of GrandView, we wouldn’t be having these discussions, because we’d already have the perfect application.
I wish I could us the DOS version, but two things inhibit me: 1. I don’t like switching from DOS to Windows. I find it distracting and disruptive. 2. I have never been able to get GV to work smoothly running under Windows. The cursor often disappears, and there are other problems with viewing the outlines.
Finally, I hope I didn’t give the impression that I am unhappy with Brainstorm. I love it. I just think it has limitations that restrict the ways in which it can be useful in my work. What it does do, it does exceptionally well, and I wouldn’t want to work without it.
