Derek,
yes, actually i’ve trialled it, but i really need it to also work in Arabic as well, which apparently, as one of the developers E-mailed me, is planned, but not in the immediate future.
anyhow, my main problem is that i don’t need its wordprocessor - i have recently realized that the various things i need to do for critical edition work, in various langauges, can only happen (for now at leat) by using LaTeX, not MS Word, OOo, WP, or even NotaBene for that matter. Plus, each of the three components of Nota Bene (at least in its v7 incarnation) have better equivalents separately elsewhere, though the basic idea of a united bibliographical database + semantic searchable (is it semantic in Nota Bene?) note database is what i am looking for.
i think the problem is that some of the best long-standing programs - Zoot, Nota Bene - are from the DOS days, and as such, many of them don’t have some of the things that really are now being taken for granted, such as full unicode support.
