I think the advantage is that you can then work with a folder full of data and use the same rules and actions that you might use on any folder.

You can easily set up a folder that will only contain items with keywords = to Freud + Cigars + Clinton indeed these folders would be how you set up the keywords in the first place.

So you would have three keyword folders called freud, cigars and clinton plus another folder, called whatever you want to call it, with a rule to show all items with keywords Freud+Cigars+Clinton.
