Graham -
Opera is a nice browser, and it’s great to have the free registration bonus. Thanks very much for pointing us to it.
In the past I’ve often moved between IE and Opera. Now that I have FireFox, though, think I may well stick with it. FireFox seems to have many more useful extensions, and (for example) Opera does not appear to work with Net Snippets.
Also I haven’t found a way of replicating the extremely fast tabbed browsing provided by FireFox. Opera does have tabbed browsing, too, but it seems to require use of the right-mouse context menu or somewhat awkward key-sequence to open a new tab. In FireFox, using the “Tabbrowser Extensions” extension, one has the ability rapidly to open pages in a sequence of new tabs simply by clicking on them. This is very useful when googling.
I am sure I am overlooking some Opera advantages, however. Why are you thinking of changing?
