I clipped the following text from one of the sample files that comes with Zoot (Need A Date.Zot). It relates to using natural expressions for generating dates:
Due: Nov 11
Start: Tue
If you type dates above Zoot will insert the dates into the <Due Date> and <Start Date> fields automatically. You can use natural language expressions for dates. These are documented in the help file. For example, you can use expressions like these:
next wk = next week
next fri = next Friday
tmr = tomorrow
tdy = today
ystr = yesterday
in 2 wks = in 2 weeks
next mth = next month
jul 1 = july 1st of the current year
a wk from tdy = a week from today
Notes:
Σ A date action will only insert a date if the date field is empty. For example, an action designed to insert a due date in the <Due Date> field will only work if the <Due Date> field is empty. This prevents date actions from changing dates once they have been set.
Σ Manually entering a date will always override any date action in your database.
