>Yes, I was impressed by A-Plan and would look at that as well, but I think JCVGantt will do what I need for now. Bizarrely, MSProject (which I have) doesn’t sync with Outlook. Well not unless you have MSExchange installed on a server.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, if integration with other project & PIM apps is an essential criteria, don’t forget ProjectKickstart. I quote from the PKS website
“Integration with MS Office applications. Link to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Outlook project management add-in. Seamlessly integrates into Microsoft Outlook.
Link to Microsoft Project, SureTrak, P3, FastTrack Schedule, Milestones, WBS Chart, MindManager and ACT!”
So in project-manager land, I think there is plenty of integration around (maybe more than in PIM land). The choice of project app for me just came down to how heavy-duty I wanted the feature set. I just needed a quick project outline and gantt chart not the sophisticated tools available in apps like MS Project, A-Plan et al.
Each to our own, I suppose.
