You are right of course; I admit I was all too lazy to read down that long page and only got to the download link.

Apparently, version 1.0 is now really 1.0.20050819 with the last digits meaning 19 August 2005.

The download.com site actually seems to be the only source for the setup file; that’s where the the home site download link points to. One can get an updater for the latest version though.
