There were several programs not mentioned on that list, even though I still make use of them.
I gave up on getting Net Snippets and Zoot to work togther. It actually worked well, but Zoot won’t automatically link with sub-directories. Net Snippets would therefore creat new sub-directories which I would then have to manually add into Zoot. The whole point of Zoot for me is that I have to do very little work, to get all my data to appear in Zoot.
So I find that I use Net Snippets for specific things, particularly where I am more likely to be browsing than searching. Obviously Zoot is fine for searching stored web pages, but not so good at browsing those pages. So for example, when I was looking for a secondhand Thinkpad, I used Net Snippets to store all the different bits of web information on the specs of the different models.
Currently, I looking for a new house and I am storing the web pages from estate agents in Net Snippets.
I also downloaded a collection of MSWord tutorials from around the web and used Net Snippets to pull them together and print out as a booklet.
Now that I have abandoned the idea of Zoot integration, I supect that Scrapbook would be a better option in FireFox, and I although I bought Net Snippets because of its use of standard HTML (to work with Zoot) I think I actually prefered Onfolio.
I have only just started to use OneNote, and I am using it to gather together material for specific projects - a lot of the material I collect is graphics and while Zoot will work with graphic material, it isn’t the same as being able to browse through it.
