Hi Graham
I really enjoyned your posting about craftmanship vs. OOCPT OutOfControlPowerTool). This was very much what I felt when shifting from WP5.1/DOS to Word. In WP you feel that you have full control over, what you are doing, and indeed you can do marvelous things - when I take my Master’s thesis down from the shelf and browse through it, I still appreciate it’s layout. I used outlining in WP in a breeze, it was so flexible, and easy to view, and you were IN CONTROL as the user. In Windows, well, I can’t even control how far the indents should be, and it looks rather confusing, with those long indents. Etc.
And your point also explains pretty well my immediate sympathy for BrainStorm - very simple interface, but it does what you expect it to do - when you have learned it’s quite different approach.
Best regards,
Peter.
