Alx: What software do you use for OCR? Are you happy with it?

I’ve started using FineReader to scan some HBR articles that I wanted to keep and index. The pages are often a mix of different text fonts, multi-columns, image + text etc. Results have been good (not perfect) but it is relatively timeconsuming. I spell check every page so if you want to bulk process a lot of non-standard documentation, you will have to accept some errors.

It depends on what you’re trying to achieve.
