IDEA! provides a printed report of the category tree. This is similar to MindGenius’ printed outline.

Categories are numbered, i.e. 1, 1.1, 1.1.1 etc and they are followed by descriptions of their associated records. It is possible to get a printout of categories only, by searching for strings that don’t exist, i.e. “hkjhkjhkj”, so that no records show up in the list.

The printed report follows the screen tree expansion, i.e. sub-categories under collapsed categories will not print. Expand all will print all categories.

The reports can also be printed to file in a variety of formats, i.e. JPEG, PDF etc.
