Good question, Graham. The answer, I think, is that with Zoot it is a good thing, because I find that I’m not overwhelmed with the number of entries; whereas, with the more traditional hierarchical free-form database (i.e. InfoSelect, even UltraRecall), I feel swamped when the outline becomes full, since the primary categorization method is topics and subtopics. Screen real-estate gets chewed up quickly with those programs, while programs like Zoot, or, I suppose, InfoHandler, in which your information is in more of a flat file, are much easier for my feeble mind to deal with. So extraneous information is not an issue.
