I am in the same place, Graham. Although, I have stopped fighting my reliance on Zoot and have embraced it. Makes a lot of difference. Now all my information is actually in one place! How novel! I find, too, that the lack of RTF is less of a problem than I always made it out to be in my head. Still, there are times when it is necessary.
I suspect that the real lesson—one we CRIMP suffers can especially learn—is that sticking with one program, no matter what it is, and learning how to use it effectively can actually make one more productive. Holy smokes! (Won’t stop me from downloading the next version of Idea! and giving it a go.)
