Steve, I see that Ecco is in the process of becoming open source so that program can be updated and enhanced. I wonder what the possibilities are that Grandview code be made available and developed as a Windows program?
Also, see you note Maple and InfoSelect as programs that have got sloppy with new release, with a question mark. I don’t know about Maple (other than it looks like an outline program that has nothing much new to say for itself), but would certainly agree that InfoSelect has been sloppy—not to mention just plain wierd at times in how it does things.
What gets me is how it used to try to position itself as an Ecco replacemennt, as well as bragging about its award status, that is, to put it kindly, dated.
I haven’t played with Ecco for awhile, but would sure look seriously at a new open source version, especially if it tied in a good web capability.
Does anyone here use Ecco, if so, what would you likek to see in a new version?
Daly
