Stephen,
To add/save an entry, my estimation is
1/4 sec. for IS,
1/2 to 3/4 sec. max for DO. Or,
IS: DO as
Excel: Access.
Improperly expressed, I’m sure, but you know what I mean…
It’s not like sitting there waiting for anything, like when IS loads…this brings IS’s score down, considerably.
Since I’m not in a position where ‘1/2 second less/more per entry’ means anything, I consider all of the time-related factors that I can come up with. IS may be a little faster to use second to second, but as long as I’m not waiting for an app to do its thing, I wouldn’t consider it ‘slow’.
I’m just in the slow lane because:
I’ve chosen to utilize most of DO’s categorizing features, which takes a little longer per entry,
I’m approaching info mgmnt. from a more deliberate standpoint than I did with IS (thinking, deciding per entry vs. automatic entries), and since I don’t get burnt/mentally fatigued w/ DO, I’m spending more time utilizing my information than I can with IS.
I hope this answers your question :)
Sarah
