Here’s a further report of the “crashes and burns” saga. The G3 came with a bum memory expansion chip which has been removed after three crashes in 6 weeks. The crashes and other anomalies seem to have disappeared. ATM 4.5.1 fixed the “tiny text” issue. The G3 is now connected to the Epson 1520 via Appletalk to an ethernet card. Stay tuned and I’ll see if I can add my confirmation to the “all’s well with More 3.1 and 8.6.
