I agree with you, Derek, that it would be handy to be able to edit in the aerial view of Brainstorm. For all its strengths… and I am a very ardent promoter… Brainstorm does have some unusual and sometimes annoying quirks. (For instance, why is the date-insertion function dependent upon the date-labeling for magic paste operations?) I chalk it up to the fact that it seems to be a hobby project for its developers, though clearly a labor of love, too. They seem eager to hear suggestions, and are fairly good at applying those that are not too disruptive or that take a lot of time. I know they are working on a “Pro” version that is supposed to add a lot of functionality, including text formatting. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that editing in the aerial view is one of the added features, but don’t know that for sure. And I have never seen or heard of any estimate for when that product might be available.
