Alexander, I think you’ve provided a good rule of thumb in terms of when PC is better than paper, as well as noting that some people, such as Stephen D., for good reason have a strong over-riding preference.
Re your rule of thumb, the operative factor seems to be complexity and the best way of containing information such that you can keep touch with the big picture, while the data is accessibility and can be worked with.
That’s helpful to me because the stuff I have to do, at least now, doesn’t meet that criteria. So, I ask myself, why expend so much energy attempting to find the “right” program to do it with, when perhaps the thing is to get off my backside, get down to work, and later key in the results.
