After considering the various to-do options mentioned, I thought I might give ISTD Organizer a run for a while.
I would have liked to use Brainstorm as my to-do manager, but in my head to-dos need formatting. It’s not just a question of making lists but presenting the information in such a useable way that the reader feels motivated enough to actually do something about the items in the list.
I don’t want to go back to using bits of (admittedly good) PIMs like Ecco, Time & Chaos, Above & Beyond etc. MasterList Pro looks interesting but the UI doesn’t work for me and it clearly is in an early development stage.
ISTD is also a newbie (ver 1.3x) but it has a nice clean uncomplicated user-friendly interface. I particularly like the ability to switch at a touch of a button to a traditional outlining view (yes, still fairly primitive) that enables you to create sub sub sub categories. So you could have Personal > kids > Fred > Education > ..... if you want to categorise to-dos in finer detail.
And I wasn’t going to buy anything more for a while! Damn.
