> Steve Z.: I also think (Brainstorm) need to add a quick button for doing that or changing the color, maybe one that is customizable, so you just select the item, click the button and it changes to whatever you’ve set as your “completed item” appearance.
I can understand David’s less-than-enthusiastic response to your suggestion of a strikeout mark; (a) technically, the program is still plain-text-based and supports one single font. (b) Also, it seems as too specific a feature for a program targetted as a universal tool. Bold, italics and underline would probably be more sought-after. If and when Brainstorm supports RTF, strikeout will be a breeze to implement.
However, easy foreground/background colouring in the form that Word and most RTF editors offer, shouldn’t be too hard to implement. It’s just a form of shortcut to the rather cumbersome Brainstorm menus for changing the entry colour.
There’s something to be said in favour of following the conventional approach even in non-conventional applications. Some features we have come to expect, haven’t we?
