I am not trying to answer your question about what “native Windows application” means, Daly, but I do have an observation which may support what Kinook says. From what I’ve experienced with the .NET programs I’ve tried and which I use, I find they are “lazy.” What I mean by that is that there often seems a slight lag time between when I select a function and the execution of that function occurs. Some of these programs can be downloaded with the .NET Framework or without it, if you already have .NET installed on your computer. The difference in size of these files is very telling. Usually, the .NET Framework adds about 25 megs to the download, which is fairly hefty and from this I infer that the .NET technology is pretty complex and perhaps process-heavy.
This is why I think it will be interesting to hear your comments about the way Infohandler runs as a .NET program vs. its previous incarnation.
