Any other options?
Well, there’s twelve function keys sitting along the top of the keyboard—and in modern software, we hardly ever use them.
Old Sun workstation keyboards have the function keys arranged in two columns on the left side of the other keys, so they can be easily got at with the left hand (like the arrow keys can be got at with the right hand). What’s more, along with their numeric names (L1, L2, L3, etc), they’re also labelled `Cut’, `Paste’, `Clear’, etc. This would be an interesting idea to consider—why not `Expand’, `Parent’, and `New element’ keys as well? ...
