You need to set up a new folder in Zoot to contain the NetSnippets item.
Zoot doesn’t appear to sync sub - folders so you need to consider this when setting up the NetSnippets hierarchy.
In Zoot, right click on the folder you just created and choose properties.
Then choose Actions from the dialog box that just opened
This opens a new dialog box where you need to check the synchronize/import option.
Then under “Action” choose “Zoot file folder sync”
Under “when” choose “I choose[run actions]” ( the other option is to have Zoot sync every time you open the folder, but on my box this is just too slow)
Under “details” navigate to the net Snippets folder you want to sync. The button with three ellipsis opens an explorer type dialog box that allows you to find the NS target folder.
At the top right of the dialog box there is an option to “include first 32k of text from file” which I normally select as it brings the first bit of the web page into Zoot.
At this same position is an option to give “file spec” details and I specify “*.html” here as it means Zoot only brings in Web pages and not Gifs, XML etc that seem to also populate the Net Snippet folders.
Make sure you press the “add” button and then click on OK.
Go back to the Zoot folder you have just created and open it. Click on the “smart” icon in the tool bar and chhose “Run Actions”
It is a bit slow on my box, but after a bit you find that Zoot has populated itself with the Web page title as the subject for each web page that Net Snippets has stored, together with the first 32k of text in the reading pane and a click on the title opens the original web page in your browser.
I have actually set up two actions, one for *.html and one for *.htm.
Hope that helps.
