[Graham: I was doing something similar to you, with different types of information going into different databases. It was all a bit of a mess and even if I had paid the full price for netsnippets it would have been worth it.]
So, my question is: is Netsnippets such an able tool for other kind of information, i.e. not captured from the net?
For me, web capture only represents about 20-30% of my infobase, though this is growing. For it to be of any use, it must be kept with the rest of my information which I file regardless of source. So, this means keeping webpages within a general-purpose information manager of the genre discussed in this forum, or using a tool like websnippets to handle other info as well.
The alternative is to treat captured webpages as attachments, i.e. link from within the information manager to the local page copy, rather than save it internally. This is interesting, though it would probably mean keeping two URLs: one to the local copy and one to the original source.
