Judging from the comments here, it seems I have missed out on never having using Grand View. Is it available for download somewhere - or is it gone forever.
I am far from happy with a key word approach, and prefer the Zoot approach of entries being automatically assigned to folders by content. It does of course mean that you end up with entries in teh wrong folders on occasions. Or entries not appearing in the correct folder if the appropriate important words don’t actually appear in the text.
However, the main attraction is that I can add a new note very quickly, the notes are formatted, so tables stay as tables, unlike Zoot. But, like you, I am strugglin to fully sort out in my mind where it would fit in my workflow, it gives me some features that I could do with, but unless I use it a main data store (replacing Zoot) then the outlining features are largely wasted.
It is a lot of money to just spend on a “sticky note” program. I do so wish Tom Davis would get Zoot sorted out, if I could store formatted items in Zoot, I would have no need to look at anything else.
Thanks for your comments,
Graham
