Alexander,

It is nice to hear of someone becoming an ECCO convert. There is talk at the ECCO forum that Netmanage, which owns ECCO, might let it become an open source application. I don’t know how serious this talk is, but it would be great if ECCO could begun to evolve again. It is certainly a very versatile and innovative program, even without having been improved in eight years. I confess that once development stopped at Netmanage, I abandoned ECCO for fear that I would end up with a lot of dead end information… I found Zoot shortly after that and shifted alegiance. But I am tempted at times to pull out the old jewel box with the ECCO CD in it and re-install it.
