I had tried ECCO in the past and had found its calendar unattractive, so I didn’t delve deeper. After your tip I went back to it and was amazed at the versatility of its column functions, especially including the filtering options. I haven’t seen anything similar in organiser applications.

I am now customizing the journal view to use it for my regular task management. It will make an excellent companion to Hyperclip, which I use for my project information.

Warmest thanks for the suggestion; next week I am holding an “introduction to project management workshop” and I have included ECCO in my freeware toolbox for attendees.
