I too have been looking Evernote over more carefully. I like the idea that all my information is in one “bucket” and not spreadout in different files or folders. My thought is that Evernote is actually more of a potential competitor for Zoot than OneNote. Like Zoot, Evernote can automate the categorization of information based on keywords. Unlike Zoot, it provides modest, but acceptable text formatting.
What I like about OneNote is how easy it is to clip images and information, pull them together into a packet of related notes, and then refer to them during a project. I’m not sure Evernote is as steamlined for that process, but I’m eager to see it continue to evolve. The fact that Evernote is free doesn’t hurt!
