{Stephen D.: The first stage states the argument so it makes sense to me; the second, which generates topics that can serve as headings, makes sense to the readers.]
Actually, one of the main processes I use Brainstorm for is to collect and organise material (my first stage) until I have a concrete base and then selectively reorganise it under new headings (my secoond stage) depending on the output I want to produce.
The benefit of Brainstorm is that all the alternative organisations co-exist, while referencong the original material.
