I liked ndxCards; indeed it seemed as a good tool for notetaking and writing, the combination I currently use Brainstorm for.
The main deterrent for me was the lack of universal search; as others in this forum, I prefer _not_ to have to classify items by keywords the moment I collect them. Rather, my tree structures are built gradually and interactively as I enter content.
