Steve -
I had brief flirtations with Inspiration - which I never really tried out properly: I didn’t like the display, and it was too slow on my last notebook - and CaseMap. I liked CaseMap, but it let me down over the issue of losing “Comments” when merging Notes. I tried Nota Bene, but found the outliner clunkier than Word’s one, although I recognized the power of that suite for its purposes.
So back I went to the simple beauty of GrandView. I find it displays quite well in 50 lines under XP although, as you say, the juxtaposition of DOS and Windows (and the narrow window) is disconcerting - but I also use Lotus Agenda, Quicken for DOS, Papyrus, PC-Write and (until last month) TapCis, so I am habituated. And, of course, I live in monotone Kansas :-).
Brainstorm has some of that DOS elegance about it, so I am looking forward to using it.
