As you can see, I am trying to talk myself into buying Brainstorm…

I can see why you wouldn’t need Brainstorm, if you use Grandview. But how long can that last? Aren’t there projects where you would sacrifice power for an expeditious transfer to Word? Particularly if as you mentioned, you have to deformat to make the transition with Grandview.
For me the big advantage of Brainstorm over the apparently more powerful and possibly equally ergonomic GrandView (going by Steve Cohen’s reports), is that Brainstorm has multiple undo. I find it indispensible in outlining, but others differ considerably.
