Hi, all,
I've just been trialing a new PIM (new, at least to me) with the awful name of kmAnywhere (sorry, Stephen, you probably won't like this one). I am not quite sure what to make of it yet, but it sure is different.
The first thing you notice about the GUI is that it doesn't look like any other program, although most of its elements are familiar. I give them credit for working outside the box a bit in this regard, and this is only the beginning.
It is packed with features, which include:
1. Hierarchical freeform database "notebooks" which can hold RTF, HTML, Spreadsheet and Image documents.
2. Calendar, with project and task management.
3. Contact manager.
4. Web browser.
5. Search engine.
6. Screen/document capture of HTML-based documents.
7. PDF creator.
There is probably more, but I've only been toying with it for half an hour or so.
One function of note is that it allows you to select any word processor as a helper application, so you can edit your documents in Word or whatever you choose. I think it does the same with the spreadsheet editing as well. I remember that someone had suggested this feature not long ago in this forum.
Anyway, if you care to give it a spin, the URL where you can download it is
www.richskills.com
I'd be interested in hearing comments from those who try it out.

Thanks for the lead. I can't leave these programs alone, so I'll give kmAnywhere a try.
