I rarely find this very helpful, though I’m sure that’s just the way my mind works (or, more specifically, the way it doesn’t work). Visual representation in the form of the diagram or concept map rarely helps me get a better handle on my thinking or planning. An outline is much more powerful, in my view; though I will acknowledge that I sometimes find it helpful to create a diagram when showing information to others.
I do find the “focus in” feature in the Inspiration diagram handy. Essentially, it is a hoist command, allowing you to view one node and its children.
The new features in Version 7.6 are nice, as is the Palm version.
