I prefer Wordperfect, but then I have found Word to be unreliable and annoying, even though I am happy to set up a style based templates for the main types of documents I produce.

I certainly feel more cmfortable with WP and it as some similarities to NB in the way aspects of it work. Like all programs WP is both more versatile and less versatile than Word depending on what you want to do.

As for NB I save every time I stop typing to take breath, so regular saving in NB won’t be an issue for me, and I have been lurking in the NB forum for about 15 months before taking the plunge. Iadmit to being influenced by the forthcoming version 8, which has some nice features.

I would give WP a try out. Upgrades are relatively cheap and you can upgrade to verion 12 of WP from any version of MSWord.
