I almost found it surprising that you don’t use any of the tools discussed in the forum for writing.

Have you tried Brainstorm? I used to prefer the minimalist writing environment of a DOS-like text editor until I tried it; for me it provides me with a powerful set of tools without getting in the way.

Which is your two-pane info of choice?
