Stephen, I think ADM will already function in the way that you are referring to, however. You can hide the text card completely, use doc view and then the functionality is pretty much similar to other one-pane outliners, i.e., the topics can hold content (not just the title of a card) and are visible with all the surrounding topics.—Chris

Then you lose the distinction between notes and topics, the ability to block out notes and just see topics, and the ability to fold text and topics. Its outlining feature set is comparable to NoteMap, but its implementation is far more clunky. If you use the super-clipboard as a mark and gather alternative, you have no visual feedback on what has been marked. You can hoist, but you can’t hoist within a hoist. You must first dehoist before the deeper hoist. From my stand point, most importantly it lacks any undo functionality in the outline. I don’t think it’s competive with the best around as a single-pane outliner. It needs to bill itself as having an integrated database. An integrated database has to have, imo, a way to both hide and show textual information, and ADM loses that ability in Document Mode.
