Stephen: “Should ADM then include this way of selecting categories, incorporating the grouping function? Is there a likelihood in your opinion that it will? If not, why _should_ ADM develop ways of organizing data that are inferior to the best available? Wouldn’t it then make sense for adm to focus on its brainstorming/conceptualizing features.”
I don’t know what ADM will do. It could perhaps incorporate the notion of grouped keywords. Or, it could go the approach of UltraRecall and Knowledge Workshop and make automatic lists of keywords.
Even if ADM does neither grouped keywords nor automatic keyword lists, that does not mean it should just focus on brainstroming/conceptualizing features, because ADM’s metadata approach is unqiue to it; frankly, UR’s approach to columns is different from ADM’s, and I don’t think it is as easy to use.
The public beta release this week shows ADM’s continued commitment to enhancing the metadata feature set, and the text page enhancements are a step forward as well.
